The Trans Am Race Company has announced the addition of Luna-C Clothing, an Atlanta-based clothing company, to the Trans Am Series’ growing list of partners. The agreement between the two entities will see Luna-C named the Official Apparel of Trans Am.
“Trans Am and Luna-C have all the makings of a great partnership,” said John Clagett, President of The Trans Am Race Company. “Luna-C’s distinct image, brand and commitment to racing and automotive inspired design goes hand-in –hand with the vision we have for Trans Am. The effort they put into the product and the quality of their work is representative of what The Trans Am Race Company has put into the Series, and now we’ve been presented with the opportunity to display them on the same stage.”
"We are very excited for Luna-C Clothing to partner with the historic Trans Am Series," said Lee Davis, CEO of Luna-C. "Anyone who is a fan of motorsports in North America appreciates the long history of excitement that Trans Am racing has showcased. From our initial conversations with John and Jake (Pickett), we were very impressed with their vision for the series. It includes honoring the rich history of Trans Am, providing a great racing experience and reaching out to old and new fans alike. At Luna-C, we weave our love for cars and motorsports into each item we produce, and we utilize the latest fabric technologies into our designs. There are great synergies between Luna-C and Trans Am, and we’re looking forward to creating some unique styles that reflect the characteristics of the Series. We’re proud to be the Official Apparel Supplier, and we’ll be alongside all of the Trans Am teams from the green flag in Sebring through the checkered flag in Daytona."
As part of the partnership, Trans Am merchandise will be made available for purchase on Luna-C’s website as well as at the track, allowing fans to gear up just like drivers throughout the paddock.
Trans Am pole-sitters will be awarded custom Luna-C gear through the year on an event-by-event basis, a prize with prestige, differentiating those drivers from the pack just as their efforts did on the track.Luna-C will also design the 2014 Trans Am Victory Lane Hats that will be used throughout the 2014 Championship.
